The group’s founder, Dr. Manohar Joshi is an educationist of repute who considers himself a teacher first and everything else later, since it is as a teacher that he started his illustrious career that has seen him occupy the high offices of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. He is currently a Rajya Sabha member and a highly respected elder in the state’s political circles. That even in the political circles he is referred to as just “Sir” is perhaps the strongest comment on his widely held image as a teacher and an educationist.
The current Chairman of Kohinoor Education Trust, the umbrella body for Kohinoor Group’s education initiatives including the Kohinoor International School, is Mr. Unmesh Joshi, an architect by profession and someone who is immensely passionate about Education, apart from being a highly successful businessman.
