


An Engineering graduate from IIT, Kharagpur and a Management post-graduate from IIM, Bangalore, Mr. Atul Karanjkar heads the school management as its Director. Mr. Karanjkar has over 26 years of multi-sector experience in India and abroad. He is also the Chairman of Gandhi Bal Mandir, Kurla, a 60 year old school affiliated to the State Board. As Director of Kohinoor Technical Institute Pvt. Ltd., the country’s leading technical vocational education institution in the private sector, he has spearheaded the expansion of the institute’s network to more than 100 centers in 9 states. He strongly believes in the importance of traditional Indian values as a foundation upon which our children’s lives must be built if they are to become not just achievers in the material sense but good human beings who will create healthy communities and a great nation.
Dr. (Mrs.) Veena Shrivastava has been in the field of K-12 education for the past 23 years. She has worked in well-known schools affiliated to different boards, namely IGCSE, ICSE, CBSE and the Maharashtra State Board. For the last 7 years, she has held the position of a Principal. Her experience includes running one of the oldest residential schools in western India as its Principal.
Dr. (Mrs.) Shrivastava has done a Doctorate in English Literature and the topic of her thesis was 'The Treatment of Child Psychology in the poetry of Rabindranath Tagore'. She has done her M.A. in Psychology and English, and also has B.Ed. and L.L.B. degrees to her credit. A Diploma in German Language from Max Mueller Bhavan completes the impressive list of her educational qualifications. She has been a member of the Advisory Board of the Education Department of the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU), Nasik for 3 years.
While professionally and educationally Dr. (Mrs.) Shrivastava is an educationist, a clinical psychologist and also a lawyer, by virtue of her interests and hobbies, she is a poetess, a lyricist, a creative writer and a painter. She writes in English and Hindi and has so far published two editions of her poetry collection titled 'Kshan Bhangur'. She has translated the renowned writer Robin Sharma's internationally acclaimed book 'Who Will Cry When You Die' in Hindi under the title 'Kaun Royega Aapki Mrityu Par'.
Dr. (Mrs.) Shrivastava believes in the adage "the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" and says she has the feeling that she has just taken that important step by joining Kohinoor International School.
