IGCSE Affiliation

While the school’s initial affiliation will be to the ICSE Board (i.e. CISCE), New Delhi, Kohinoor International School also plans to obtain affiliation to the Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) offered by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) of the UK, which is the world’s most popular international curriculum for 14 – 16 year olds. Introduction of the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum in Classes IX and X, will allow the IGCSE enrolled students to appear for Cambridge O Level ICE examination at the end of Class X.

Provided there is sufficient interest from parents, the school may also offer the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme for Classes V to VIII (Cambridge Checkpoint), the Cambridge International Primary Programme for Classes I to IV (ICT Starters) and the Cambridge international AS and A Levels (Cambridge Pre-U AICE Diploma) for Classes XI and XII respectively. Good grades in International A and AS Levels qualify students for admission to most of the world’s major English speaking universities and many non-English speaking universities.

All these programmes are required to be offered under affiliation with the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), UK which Kohinoor International School plans to apply for in stages, starting with Cambridge IGCSE (Cambridge O Level ICE).
